  • Final Beneficiaries and Target groups – AWS targets the most vulnerable beneficiaries in fulfilment of its mandate which is economically empowering communities. The target groups are Rural Communities in Regions of Hhohho and Lubombo, thus, households taking care of vulnerable people, adolescent youths, indigenous people, women and caregivers. The final beneficiaries of the project are the poor rural households taking care of the vulnerable people, those living with HIV/AIDS, orphans and vulnerable children, women, elderly poor and unemployed youths.

Other third parties involved – Honey Council of Swaziland: They will provide coordination and networking role for all the beekeeping farmers and developing of policies governing the honey production is Swaziland. Government Ministries – specifically Ministry of Tinkundla, Administration and Development: –

We are working with the Regional Administration Office for coordination, entry purposes, coordination and sustainability purposes.

Ministry of Agriculture: For technical expertise and trainings on aspects of honey production.

Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs: For trainings and technical support for environmental conservation

Synergies with other similar Actions – Swaziland Water & Agricultural Development (SWADE) is also operating in Lubombo and doing Honey

Production.  AWS and SWADE met on a higher strategic level to explore synergies in consolidating and expanding Honey Production for sustainability
