Assessment of the Relationship between AWS and State Authorities
AWS, since the development of the Poultry Value Chain has been working with the Ministry of Agriculture, who supported the project with technical expertise in terms of agricultural production. The project was in line with the government’s focus to strengthen value chains. In this case, the Ministry of Agriculture will provide the Policy Framework, overall guidance and technical support on the implementation of the Honey Value Chain. In addition, it will work with the Honey Council of Swaziland to provide the necessary coordination and networking role for all the beekeeping farmers. This relationship will help AWS set standards and ensure legislations passed are fully enforced for the development and support of the honey value chain.
